IBT Academy is proud to introduce Lloyd Knight, Principal Dancer of Martha Graham Dance Company.

Lloyd joined Martha Graham Dance Company in 2005. He performs lead roles in Appalachian Spring, Embattled Garden, Errand into the Maze and several others ballets.
He has partnered New York City Ballet Principal Wendy Whelan in Ms. Graham's MoonDuet, and is partnering American Ballet Theatre's Misty Copeland in At Summer’s Full (a Graham duet from Letter to the World).

Lloyd has had ballets choreographed on him by Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, Andonis Foniadakis, Larry Keigwin, Doug Varone, Lar Lubovitch, Klye Abraham, Liz Gerring, Michelle Dorrance, Anne Bogart, and Pontus Lidberg.
Born in England and raised in Miami, Lloyd trained at Miami Conservatory of Ballet and graduated from New World School of the Arts, under the direction of Daniel Lewis. There he worked with choreographers, Donald McKayle, Robert Battle, and Michael Uthoff. He is a scholarship recepient to The Ailey School and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
