IBT Academy studios were designed and built for professional ballet training. Our state-of-the-art facility has 4,000 sq. ft of dance space with 2 large studios, top-of-the-line spring floors, and extremely high, loft-style ceilings—an imporant requirement for a partnering rehearsal space.
In January 2015 our Artistic Director Alexander "Sasha" Boitsov was honored with a highly sought-after YAGP student ballet competition Outstanding Teacher Award. Mr. Boitsov and the rest of IBT Faculty are committed to providing individual attention to each student whether they are pursuing a professional career or dancing recreationally. Along with several levels of Ballet and Pointe classes we offer children’s Creative Movement, Character, and Contemporary (see in-depth Class Descriptions for details.) There is also opportunity to perform in IBT Company’s lavish annual Nutcracker held at Ursinus College's Kaleidoscope Theater.
All students are trained in the famed Vaganova Method. Please take a few minutes to visit and explore the How We Teach page. Many of our graduates have gone on to dance in professional companies all around the world, others have been awarded scholarships to prestigious Universities.
Picasso said, "The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." That is why here at IBT we focus not just on technique but also on fine art of expression and elegant plasticity of movement—the cornerstones of Russian classical ballet.
